15 Free 3ds max Scripts and Plugins

I would like to present you today a list of free 3ds max scripts, which in my opinion will be useful for everyone. Thanks to them, you will be able to improve your workflow by automating some activities in 3ds max. Some of them introduce interesting functions and things not provided in the basic application. Below I present you the list must have free 3ds max scripts.

Floor Generator

A very useful plugin from which I myself used countless times. Thanks to it, in a very easy way you will be able to create wonderfully looking floor panels. A very useful tool, especially when working with interior visualizations. At https://www.cg-source.com/floorgenerator.php, there are two versions of this script: free and paid. The paid version includes more than one floor pattern, but the free one is also very useful.

Multi Texture Map

This script is related to the Floor Generator and comes from the same developer. It allows you to assign separate textures to objects with different Object ID. It has many options to randomly place them, with various effects such as color and gamma adjustments. It works with such renderers as V-Ray, Scanline, Brazil and FinalRender. You can download it here: https://www.cg-source.com/multitexture.php

Unique Material ID

Third of the free 3ds max scrips also comes from the CG-Source. It also works with two previous plugins. Unique Material ID will allow you to assign a different Object ID for each of the elements in the object. Thanks to this, you will be able to use Multi Texture Map, which will place randomly the texture on them. The package of these three scripts is in my opinion a must have for anyone who makes visualizations in 3ds max. A link to this script can be found here: https://www.cg-source.com/uniquematerialids.php

Greeble

This plugin will allow you to create random details such as space ships, plates, cityscape details, and many more. In addition to science-fiction themes, it may have other uses, for example as an aid in the creation of wall panels. In the case of a Greeble plugin, the only limit you can find for its use is your imagination. This free 3ds max script is available to download on the author’s website: http://max.klanky.com/plugins.htm

Random Select

A useful script that does what its name indicates. Thanks to it, you can randomly select objects, elements, faces or verticles.
